Sigh-where has the time gone! No, really!!?? I ask myself that everyday it seems! Gosh I love you more than words could ever say Nicholas Parrish Bost and your Daddy does too. We tell each other everyday how much we love you and how thankful we are for you! God sure did bless us when he gave us you and I hope that I can be the best mom He would have me to be for you each and everyday! My promise to you is that I will do my best, I know I cannot be perfect and I know I will mess up A LOT, but I will do my best!!! I cannot believe you are 15 months old buddy. We had your 15 month well visit last Friday and here are your stats:

Weight/Height: You are a whopping 29 pounds, so that means you have gained 2 pounds since your one year well visit and you are 33 and 3/4 long!!!! You are so tall!!! You are for sure bigger than all of your friends haha, very well proportioned!! You have fallen down from 95th to 93rd percent in weight, haha and you are off the charts in height!! I believe it!!

Developments/Words/New things you are doing: Well where should I start!!? First, you love to explore, climb, eat, talk, play, dance, kick and roll the ball, any ball will do and run fast from Mama as soon as I say let’s change your diaper!! Haha! You love to give kisses and hugs especially to your friends and family, but mostly your friend Berks, who mama keeps a couple days a week! I cannot think of any new foods you have tried, other than quiche I made you last night, crust-less quiche with spinach and zucchini and you love it! I got the recipe off of http://weelicious.com/! I Love that website! You are saying dada all the time and I keep hoping you will start to say mama as much as you say dada! You say dada everytime you see his picture, etc! It is so sweet! You say dada all day long and I say, dada is at work!! You love the word NO now and after hearing your friend Ryan say No, no no no no, you say it just like he does too! It’s actually pretty cute! You have started having some serious temper tantrums and I have found the best thing I can do is say No sir, do not act that way and then leave you alone until you calm down, which luckily at this point is pretty quick! Fingers crossed it will stay that way, wishful thinking I am sure!!

Foods you love: Everything, but especially CHEESE, applesauce, broccoli, whole milk, goldfish or Annie’s cheese crackers, any organic fruit and veggie pouch, blueberry waffles, yogurt, peanut butter, eggs, spinach, smoothies, cereal, carrots, potatoes and I could go on and on!! Lately anytime we are with your grandparents, they love to feed you sweets! I don’t love that at all, but I am okay if you have a little! Your mama has a sweet tooth so I have a feeling you might too!!

What I am thankful for: You and daddy and our parents, our friends here and family that are close by, though not close enough and the fact we got to go home to spend the weekend with Mimi for her birthday and your daddy’s side of the family! I am also so thankful Mom and Dad are coming up to watch you for the weekend so your daddy and I can get away for the weekend for the first time in forever, to celebrate our anniversary. I wouldn’t just trust anyone to take care of you, but I sure trust my Mom and Dad and am so thankful they are willing!!

What I am looking forward to: Spending the whole weekend with your daddy in VA at a Spa and Suite, hopefully skiing, make that trying to ski, doing outdoor activities, eating yummy food and drinking yummy wine, hiking I hope, my first facial ever and just again the weekend with your daddy to celebrate our 2 year anniversary!!

Just a quick entry to jot down a few new words Nicholas has been saying: ball, rake, rock, milk, mama (yay!!!) not too often though, No (he loves that word) bath and trying to repeat his ABC’s after me! At least the first few letters of the alphabet, pretty darn cute! This morning it has just been Nicholas and me and I loved it, I truly try and cherish every moment we have together! I just layed him down for a nap that I think he is protesting, either because he dropped his paci from the crib or because he just doesn’t want to nap even though he has been yawning for the past half hour. I thought about and am thinking about transitioning him to one nap, but I just am not sure he is ready for that yet and to be honest neither am I!! I will be back soon to make another entry!! I need to make his 15 month appointment today! Considering he will be 15 months in just a few days! Me=slacker!

Hi y’all,

I am way way way overdue for this update! Derrick was just asking me at dinner last night if I had blogged in awhile and I told him I really need to sit down and do it. Nicholas is napping now so this is a great time to do it! I cannot believe our little boy is almost 14 and a half months old now, where oh where has the time gone? I mean seriously it has gone by so fast and sometimes I wish I could slow it down, at least for a few weeks, but I am also loving this age!! I have been keeping a few other kids during the week, but Nicholas and I have three days together, just he and I and love that. On to the updates!

Height/Weight: 32.5 inches at his one year check-up, but he has gotten so much taller since then, so maybe 33.5 now, I have no idea!:) According to our scales around 28 pounds, but who knows! He was 27 at his one year appointment!

Developments: Nicholas loves to be on the go, he keeps me on my toes, he loves to run, walk, explore and climb. I really have to watch him these days. He says Hi to just about everyone and waves Bye Bye and he smiles a lot and never meets a stranger. He has been saying lots of words which is so fun!

Favorite Foods: Cheese, butternut squash, peanut butter, eggs, chicken at times, tomatoes at times, spinach, zuchinni, sweet potatoes, potatoes, veggie burgers, avocado, bean dip, black beans, spinach and ricotta bites, blueberry scones, homemade muffins, brocolli nuggets and brocolli, pinto beans, yogurt and that’s it for now though I am sure there are more!

Words: Nicholas is saying so many words lately and will repeat after us a lot too! He says: bath, cheese, hot and he knows what it means because I have taught him that the fireplace is HOT and the stove/oven is HOT and HOT means danger,  shoes, no, milk (meek), banana (nana), apple, yoga (yogurt) gigi, daddy, da-da, He actually said ma-ma yesterday, yay, but not getting my hopes up too much yet!:) That is all I can think of now though I am sure there are more!

Firsts: Nicholas experienced his first snow and we all went sledding, it was so fun!! He loved the snow, not so sure about the sledding! He started walking right before he turned a year, but is running now and trying to climb everything now and anytime we walk by the playground in our neighborhood we have to stop or I have to make a point to bypass it if I am not wanting to go there. Nicholas loves to swing all the time, this really isn’t a first and he loves to slide. We go down slides over and over until he is pooped anytime we go to the playground! He shares toys now and still doesn’t play with others too much thought sometimes he will, but he plays beside others really well! He loves his girlfriends!

Nicknames: Nicky, Nicho, Pumpkin, love bug, pumpkin pie, doodle, sweet pea, my baby, handsome, etc.

What I am thankful for: That we get to take a 2 year anniversary trip and for the great friends we have made here!

What we are looking forward to: This weekend because that means lots of time as a family, running/jogging with daddy when he gets home unless it is raining, Easter, Easter egg hunt, Mimi’s birthday, Dinner with friends and mine and Derrick’s 2 year anniversary trip in just a few weeks!! We are going to the Homestead in Va, I am so excited!! Mom and dad are so sweet to keep our little boy! Curtains we are getting put in….slowly making our house a home!

Last Easter below, so sweet! I need to find Nicholas an Easter basket for this Easter, but trying to decide if I want to spend the money at PBK, those baskets are so cute!! Our neighborhood is having an Easter Egg hunt, but it is while we are away on our anniversary trip. All of our friends in the neigborhood are going and hopefully Mom, Dad and Nicholas can go with them! I need to get on taking pics, I have been taking with my iphone, but they are just not as good. I finally got our camera charger back from mom and dad’s last week so I just need to charge the batteries and get on it! I wish we could do Easter pics this year, but it’s just no in the budget!! Hope everyone has a great week!

Nicholas is napping, though I think I hear him stirring so this will be quick, but I have been meaning to update about what he has been eating, loving, saying, etc. I have been busy keeping a few other children in my home, two little girls I adore and it’s almost like I have my own child-care center in home, but this week it has just been Nicholas and I and that has been so fun! We have gone on lots of mommy and me dates, spent a lot of time outside playing (Me chasing Nicholas) and had dinner dates! It has been so fun!

Nicholas has been saying so many words and my mom reminded me that I need to blog about them so I don’t forget. He loves food and loves to eat, I think meal times is one of his favorite times of the day! He is pretty much weaned now and loves cows milk. He loves to try and say milk, but especially loves saying water which sounds more like Otter, it’s the cutest. He loves to drink water too, which is great! Nicholas also loves cheese, so he says cheese a lot! Most of the words he is saying are: cheese, turtle, water, otter:), milk, uh oh, dada, daddy, gigi, no and hi!! I love it! He seems to say a new word each week, I know there are more, but this is all I can remember right now. I love it!

Well he is awake, so I will update more later. We are all doing well here, working on the house, staying busy, had lots of family come to visit the past week or so and are having friends over tonight for dinner, can’t wait! Off to get Nicholas out of bed:)

Love,
